So what have I been up to lately!? I'm not going to bore you with flue- cold- or -stomach bugs (which is totally the reason it has been so quite at these parts of the web by the way), that... and a new job that I'm not use to doing is to blame, it has been consuming a lot of my time I'm afraid.
But now... finally, I'm starting to feel more human again (thanking my lucky star for that, can you believe it's Christmas in like 7 days, ohhh, we celebrate it the 24th of December in Scandinavia).
And this is actually the first year as a family we're not going back home, so it's a lot of planning, planning and then again... planning!
BUT, I love it!

Our little gingerbread house, my son, the naughty Little Mrs M, has already eaten the door of the house and the Christmas tree that we had outside of it!

And this is our biggest D.I.Y project so far this season. My sons very own Advent calendar, with wrapped gifts and all. Not anything fancy or expensive (could not afford that). Let me tell you, the best present yet was a tape reel that he could do what ever with, we had some pretty nice sculptural works of art here a couple of days a go. He loved it, we loved it! So nothing fancy required!

If you have a lot of cans in your pantry, when you are finished with the content... do not throw them all out, use them as pots. If you do not like the silver metallic feel you can always paint them in fun colors. I like mine just they way they are (except for the label, that I scrape of).

It is growing wild strawberries in our cans.

and the most delicious combination ever; apple juice and lime, my favorite nonalcoholic summer beverage, but it would probably taste great with vodka in there too

Our DIY "mini grass terrarium" after a little more then a week... it was fun!

When spring comes there is always a lot of potting in our household, and there is always soil left in the bag... So here is one thing you can do with the leftovers it´s a nice little project for the kiddos out there  too...

Put the amount of soil you desire in the glass jar, then you evenly strew the seeds and cover it with an extra half a centimeter of soil. Finally put the jars in a window and spray them with water as often as necessary to keep them moist

It took us fore to five days to get the grass this high, a nice little terrarium project.


You need:
Potting soil
Glass jars (once we have nice ones in the fridge and we are finished with the content, I always wash and keep)
Water sprayer and finally
Grass seed
