Let me introduce you to one of my illustrations, can you see who it is?! 

I mainly work in two styles when I make my illustrations. 

1. If not drawn in one line, I want the feeling that it is drawn out of only one line (like the one above).

2. Like small worlds that comes with a story (I will show you what I mean in another post).

It is Orla Kiely again!

You might have seen Orla Kielys new lookbook, but it will never hurt to look again. As I have mentioned before, I LOVE Orla Kielys work, (I have been an admirer for years, in print, design, house ware, stationary...) When I lived in London I always visited the Covent Garden shop whilst in town (sadly never bought anything, my spending budget has always, always and unfortunately been very low). This season they have had a photo shoot at the London Zoo which made me love this season even more (if it even was possible). I love London Zoo, by sons first birthday was spent there, so it´s dear to my heart, he especially enjoyed those giraffes.
Anyway, now I'm just rambling, so here it is with now further ado a taste of Orla Kielys latest lookbook:

recipes for those who are in a hurry

How beautiful is these potatoes!? I almost didn't want to eat them up!

By the way this might be the worst post ever, but if you´re in a hurry, I´ll get you an easy, quick and healthy dinner recipe, okey?! Okey...

You will need: Some potatoes (of your choice), a big sweet potato/or two, half a swede and a fennel/or two. Shop them all up and put them on a owen plate (we are making fries baby), seasoning after taste and pour some olive oil on it and stir everything around.
Put the owen on 175 degrees C. Whilst the owen is heating up take your salmon pieces and season them with some salt and pepper, then turn them in sesame seeds so all the sides are covered, yummy, yummy!
When the owen is ready put the potatoes in (obviously), remember that this can always differ from one owen to another, but I do it like this: After I have put the owen plate in I set the timer on 15 min. After the 15 min I stir the potatoes a bit, then I put my salmon pieces on top of the potatoes before closing the owen and putting the timer on an additional 25 min (depending on the size of the fish, however when the fish easily falls apart and your potatoes are nice and soft, tada, it's finished).
Note: You can top it all of with veggies or gravy.
I top mine of with low fat soured cream, and my sons plate with some ketchup to dip the fries in.

long time...

Okey, so it´s officially autumn, cant say I´m thrilled. One part of me is okey with the colder temperatures, the leafs getting all yellow- orange-  and redish, I can finally start wearing some layers, knitted sweaters and 150 den. tights. 
But still, one tiny part of me is in desperate need of some more summer vacation together with the family. Well cant do anything about the change of season can I!? 
Also sorry for the absence here at Hazels Soup, I have been with my son on his brand new preschool this week (oh my he is getting all kinds of big now).
Anyway, since my camera is malfunctioning a bit, I will share the first six pics from my "hair inspiration"- folder on my desktop on the lovely Zooey Descanel (and I don´t think I have to mention that I have huge girl crush on this lady, anything else would be foolish I think).
