Norway I love you...

All we have talked about in the passed few days is the horrible terror and the cruelness that stroked Oslo last Friday. I´m today back in Oslo and it´s so nice to be here. Norway is by far the most beautiful country in the world inside and out, and the people here will never let monsters (like the one we never should name again) win.
There´s way to much love here, evil can never conquer it!

Visited the most adorable little café a couple of days ago, they played old music and had quite good prices! Right now, apart from my childhood beach, the café is one of our favourite spots this vacation, so far!

One advantage of being home with the family; I can go mad in my sisters makeup bag. Found this dashing nail polish and I just had to try it (I´m a red to orange nail polish- kind of girl). But I really like it, thing I have to buy me some new shades for autumn.

Found these pictures in my phone, this is how it looks in the street outside the house we live in... can you imagine waking up to this every morning. However right now, back in my hometown I wake up to the sound of screaming seagulls, warm summer breezes, children's laughter and the smell of coffee. That´s how I like to roll, got to love summer vacation right!

I wear this ring all the time, it´s the best vintage. I got it from my grandma last summer, she got it from my grandpa in 1957 (I think that was the year, I have to ask her). He gave it to her as a Christmas gift on there first Christmas together as a couple. The best vintage is when you know the story behind the item (oh well, I have to ask about the exact year.

Saturday on a Tuesday!?

Saturday I had to wake up bright and early, because on Sundays the shops are closed here in Norway (freaky I know), and I had still a lot of loose ends to tie up before our bus and train ride to Sweden Monday morning.
So I headed out in a nice blue flowery dress and my sailor jacket (yes it was raining and quite cold, what else).

walked passed this amazing almost hidden, private garden (the picture doesn't serve it justice), took a snapshot. It was like taken out of a romantic movie, with nooks and corners made out of apple threes, berry bushes and a herbal gardens. Imagine sitting in an arbor hidden from the world, drinking tea in a vintage cup! Sigh!

Anyway, bought some gifts for a friends new baby and the family back home.

Someone will have nice glittering earlobes this summer for sure!

Ended the day with a glass of rosé wine in front of a movie. (The lack of light made the pic blurred, not the content of the glass that had been already drunken, I only had that glass, I swear:)

So that was my Saturday, well, there was a lot of cleaning, washing and packing as well, of course, but that´s no fun to look at!

Girl Crush!

We all have girl crushes, you know does sweet, pretty, flawless girls we sometime wishes we could be more like or is just so darn cute to look at.
My girl crush have been with me for many, many years and a tiny part of me wouldn't mind be more like her (minus the ghosts of course). I´m talking about Melinda Gordon the fictional character from Ghost Whisperer played by Jennifer Love Hewitt.


I love Melindas pretty vintage dresses, her perfect long curly hair, and my good the eyelashes, and she´s walking around in her sky high platform heels like it where sneakers, that wonderful house with the perfect front porch, and that pretty little antique shop she owns, and man can she cry... you see, you catch my drift, the list goes on and on!

Just wanted to let you know it was terrible weather today in Oslo, again! Grey skies, wet pavement and frizzy hair. Where is the sun, the sun-kissed-faces and all the sunglass-wearing-people!? I wonder, Hong Kong maybe, Venice, or maybe Paris... Aww, how I love to go to Paris!

important things in life...

Trying to pass on some wisdom to my son. But he only wants to talk about "Poooop", that has to be the most used word in our family right now.
We talk shapes, sizes, colours, if it´s a bird poooop, or a Little Mr M (that´s my son) poooop, or doggy poooop, or maybe it´s just a stick that looks like poooop. True story.


Anyway, one thing he knows is important is Peace, at least I have learned him that, SCORE! 
Next lesson; LOVE (but I guess he has a pretty good idea what that entitles: Sloppy kisses from mommy)!
